Deacon and Richardson Architects provide architectural services in Sussex and the South East. We work with private, commercial and public clients over a range of scales and sectors.

At the outset of the project we will meet with the client to discuss objectives, ideas and potential outcomes. We will then provide an offer of services which outlines our proposed involvement, timescales, fees and involvement of other consultants.

Architecture

The full range of RIBA services is available, taking a project from initial ideas to a finished building. Our Workstage’s include:

  • - Feasibility Study’s
  • - Measured Building Surveys
  • - Concept Design
  • - 3D Visualizations
  • - Preparation and Submission of Planning Applications
  • - Preparation and Submission of Building Regulations Applications
  • - Technical Design and Specification
  • - Assistance with contractor selection and tender procedures
  • - Building Contract Administration and assistance during construction

Client’s may choose to limit their requirements within this range and our services can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the project.

Outside consultants such as Structural Engineers, Cost Consultants etc may be employed by the Practice to offer a cohesive team thus ensuring projects run efficiently with a one stop appointment.

Interior Design

We can provide the services of an in-house qualified Interior Designer who can produce colour schemes, furniture layouts, kitchen and bathroom designs.

Party Walls

Deacon and Richardson are qualified to act as Party Wall Surveyors in dealing with Party Wall Matters. These apply in certain instances when building projects are carried out within specified distances of, or to, boundary structures or other buildings.

CDM

Construction Design Management (CDM) relates to Heath & Safety with regard to construction projects. On certain projects, legislation places emphasis on the client to ensure that all matters concerning Health and Safety are dealt with as an integral part of every project from an early stage. Deacon & Richardson are able to provide services in connection with the CDM regulations including the role as Principal Designer; liaison with Health and Safety Executive; and preparation of Health and Safety documentation.
